OPC Crosslink Premier Suite
OPC Math & Logic, OPC Data Bridge, OPC Data Concentrator and Redundant OPC Server Hub
This powerful new product adds Math & Logic to the OPC Crosslink Suite.
It retains all of the OPC Crosslink Suite capabilities, allowing the user to pass data between
any combination of OPC DA servers and PLCs. Now, users can program complex mathematical and logical
manipulations of data as it passes through:
- Write programs in the C-logic™ programming language with complex mathematical and logical
functions that operate on one or more data items.
- Compiled Math & Logic with real-time performance.
- Redundant OPC servers with an unlimited number of backup servers.
- OPC data bridges that pass data from one OPC server to another, from one PLC to another, or between
OPC servers and PLCs. The source and target systems may be any combination of OPC DA servers and
PLCs, even if they are of different families or are from different vendors.
- OPC data concentrators that obtain data from other OPC DA servers – regardless of brand
or spec level – and present it to OPC clients. Because Cyberlogic’s OPC servers comply
with OPC DA 3.0, 2.05a and 1.0a specifications, this concentrator configuration will solve spec
level mismatches that may exist between some clients and servers.
Math & Logic
Math & Logic allows you to write programs in the C-logic™ programming language. These
programs can include complex mathematical and logical functions that operate on one or more data
items. The results appear as data items that are available to the OPC clients.
Basic OPC servers may provide a limited ability to simulate data or convert the values into engineering
units, but rely on the client software to handle more complex calculations. A far better approach
is to use Cyberlogic's Math & Logic to process the data in the OPC server. This lets you program
the calculations and logical functions once for the entire system. You do the programming one time,
in one place, using a single editor and programming language.
Cyberlogic's Math & Logic implementation includes many advanced features, some of which are
unique to Cyberlogic:
- Familiar programming syntax, similar to the C programming language.
- Programs are compiled so they can execute in microseconds, far faster than is possible with interpreted
code.
- Extensive set of preprogrammed functions.
- Each program can produce multiple outputs.
- A program can dynamically create address space data items, which can be used as inputs, outputs
or both.
- Program execution triggered on input data change, by a trigger item, at a fixed interval, or
as scheduled by the program itself.
- Broad selection of data types from 1 to 64 bits, including Boolean, signed and unsigned integer,
floating point, and string, as well as OPC UA data types.
- Support for arrays.
OPC Crosslink
OPC Server Redundancy for Mission-Critical Applications
The OPC Crosslink Premier Suite allows an unlimited number of OPC servers to be configured as redundant
OPC servers. The OPC Crosslink Premier Suite has integrated fault-tolerant communication features
not found in other OPC servers. Multiple, priority-based access paths can be used to build a true
redundant communication architecture. The built-in Health Watchdog monitors the health of all connections.
The auto-switching access paths can be configured to quickly redirect communications to an unlimited
number of redundant OPC servers.
Built for Performance
The Cyberlogic OPC server guarantees minimal load on the communication networks through advanced
message transaction optimizers.
Packed with Intelligent and Powerful Features
Using DirectImport™ feature, a user can import server configuration from other OPC servers
with a single mouse click.
Using Auto-configuration and DirectAccess™ features, a user can configure a minimal server
setup with a single mouse click and gain access to all the tags in each OPC server without any user
configuration. Power users can control many aspects of the server configuration. For enhanced security,
write operations can be disabled for some or all of the data sources at data item, folder, device,
device folder or network node levels. DirectAccess writes can also be disabled at each network node.
In version 7, DirectAccess feature supports redundancy at device level. This allows all DirectAccess
operations to switch seamlessly between redundant devices/OPC servers in the address space.
